"Annie" Swap between sisters

My sister joined an Annie Swap hosted by Aunt Pitty Pat (Aunt Pitty Pat's Fun) , and I thought it sounded like fun, so I joined, too. Coincidentally, we got each other as swap partners! Aunt Pitty Pat emailed us the pattern to follow for the swap, which is basically the doll body - the rest was up to us! I made a French-themed doll for my sister, Kelly, because I had this fabric with the Eiffel Tower on it that I'd been dying to use. I guess the one I made is not a "true" Annie doll, as she doesn't have an "Annie face". But, I love how her face came out - the eyes look just like my sister's eyes! The little pink poodle is a yarn dog that my Grandmother taught us how to make when we were little girls. My sister made a Halloween-themed Annie for me, a witch complete with a broom and a little black cat. I just LOVE her - my sister knows I love Halloween, and the funny thing is, when I showed the doll to our Mom, our Mom said the doll looks like me!! Now that she mentioned it, I think so, too!
Here they are... Annabelle with Fifi, and Ann-Hilda with Midnight.

Three Owls in Three Mediums

The instruction for this Swap-bot swap were to buy an owl item in a store, make an owl item with fabric, and make an owl item with paper. Here is a picture of what I sent to my partner in Colorado. I bought the owl bag first, and then I made the pillow and notecards to match.

The next picture is what my partner (Naomi in Australia) made for me. Isn't the stuffed owl so cute and plump? She drew the owls on the notecards and bookmarks herself! The owl ring is the store bought item.

Shhh...kitty's asleep in her matchbox

I participated in the "Shhh...It's Asleep" matchbox swap on Swap-bot. The instructions were to take a matchbox, turn it into a bed with a pillow and blanket, and place a tiny, sleeping creature in it. Margeaux F. (Mux on Swap-bot) created one for me, and she did such a wonderful job. Let me tell you, it is SO CUTE. Check out the pictures and see for yourself (It arrived in an altoids tin to keep it from getting crushed!). The one she created is the little kitty. The other pictures show the one I made for my partner, a baby alien asleep in her UFO bed.

Favorite Things Swap

I'm going to participate in the Favorite Things Swap at:

http://andbabymakesfourperrine.blogspot.com/2009/03/sign-up-favorite-things-swap.html

I wanted to participate in the last one of these I saw, but I was too slow to sign up, so I'm excited about this!

My crafty sister

My sister Kelly (http://alittleofthisandthat-kelly.blogspot.com/) can pretty much do anything, and she's always making something for somebody (even though she has a big house, three kids, a job in Real Estate, and many, many hobbies). I don't know how she does it all, but as our Mom would say, "She's a Gemini". Anyway, here is the wonderful reading pillow she just made for me. I just love it.
